At our August, 2008 Plone NYC Users Group meetup we discussed plans for having our own event on World Plone Day 2007, which is Tuesday, November 7th.

It was agreed that the audience we would target would be Plone developers and others who may be interested in using Plone.

The event will be hosted at Hunter College under the supervision of Clarence Feng. Clarence has tentatively secured Chris Warner, the CMS manager at NY Magazine as a keynote speaker.

I encourage others to use this forum and mailing list to continue the discussion.

My CIO has approved hosting World Plone Day at Hunter. Guess it should get put up where Plone is tracking the cities hosting an event.

As Robert mentioned, Chris Warner was kind enough to say he'd put together an outline- although things will be very busy in September. I'd suggest we continue to search all types of presenters and topics, hopefully to narrow down the list in the September meeting.
